qiyuus Lodge Short-term Accommodations
This new, 10-suite short-term accommodation is now available for citizens and invited guests to Macoah.
qiyuus (“guest for a while”) is a new, 10-unit beachfront lodge located in the heart of Macoah.
We offer Toquaht citizens and invited guests the opportunity to book rooms at qiyuus to connect with family, relatives and friends in beautiful Barkley Sound. There are three suite sizes, all with kitchenettes, including two dedicated accessibility units and two dedicated pet-friendly units.
General Reservation Information and Directions
Directions to qiyuus can be found using Google Maps and entering Macoah 1 Ucluelet BC as your destination.
Reservations are on a first-come, first-served basis, with prioritization to Toquaht citizens during Toquaht Nation-sponsored events.
If checking in after 4:30 pm, please proceed directly to your room, as there is no manned reservation desk and usual staff working hours are 8:30 am to 4:30 pm.
The qiyuus rental policy is available for review if you have any questions about eligibility.
Please note, the common room is not generally available as part of a reservation, unless pre-requested for large groups.
Once you have requested a reservation, you will receive an email from qiyuus advising on availability. A $100 damage deposit is required upon reservation confirmation and a credit card is required to complete the reservation process. Full payment for the suite(s) is required prior to check in.

The Toquaht Gathering Place
Toquaht Nation’s t̓uk̓ʷaaʔatḥiic hišimyiły̓ak (Toquaht Gathering Place) is a large open hall available to citizens and for Toquaht business. This space can accommodate large and small gatherings such as weddings, funerals, community recreation, cultural events, and meetings. The hall’s capacity is for approximately 150 people. Actual capacity will depend on the event and layout of the room and should be discussed in advance with the Manager of Housing and Infrastructure.
