Toquaht Nation’s governance structure is a unique blend of hereditary and elected leaders, referred to as a “hybrid” governance structure. Toquaht Nation’s governance is based on three pillars: the People’s Assembly, Council, and the Executive Branch of Council (the Executive).
The Toquaht Nation Government seeks to honour and uphold Toquaht culture, values, history, and self-governing responsibilities. We strive to provide accountable and transparent governance and serve Toquaht citizens with honesty and integrity.

That all comes through cultural revival, getting back to your land. That is how I see our vision: to bring people home and live again as once we had.
