Join us for our annual Hike to High Ground, a key event in Tsunami Preparedness Week.

Hike to High Ground is an important community event that provides participants with the knowledge they need to safely evacuate in case of an earthquake-caused tsunami. Because we live on the coast, it’s important to know what to expect, so plan on gathering at the t̓uk̓ʷaaʔatḥiic hišimyiły̓ak (Toquaht Gathering Place) in m̓aʔaquuʔa (Macoah) where the Toquaht Emergency Preparedness Management Team will provide information on community safety measures before leading us to the designated safe spot on high ground.

For those who require mobility assistance, there will be transportation available.

After the event, luncheon will be provided. There will also be a random prize selection for one lucky participant!
